The Arch
The Arch
alt_'s The Arch was established in Chicago in 2022 shortly before the passing of alt_ co-founder Jon Veal, and since then has continued preserving and disseminating alt_'s work. The Arch also houses a reference library with a diverse selection of publications that have inspired or documented the work of alt_. The Arch is available to researchers, students, and the general public through an open database to advance and change the narratives of Black and Brown people. The application has been created according to archival standards. Thank you to our partners at The Blackivists and Sixty Inches From The Center for their time and guidance in making this possible.
